Muzz - Soft Pastels

So... I had an entire day at home by myself, so I crank my stereo, do the washing, and got some shots of my puppy. he's a great dane/mastiff/boxer. Big dog, but so gorgeous.

My brother fixed my car... many times actually. So this is the start of my repayments for it. As the dog is actually his. The colours are much nicer than this, and it isn't as crinkled as shown on this, but it was too big and awkward for the scanner without doing it in four shots... yeh-no.

Yes, his eyes are a little lop sided... realised after spraying it with hair spray.. >.>


Time taken: 1 hour, including sketching
Materials - ten year old paper (brothers's old christian studies book from school... completely empty of course. xD ), mechanical pencil for sketching, coloured and grey scale soft pastels, aldi-brand hair spray. ^^ The best kind of fixing spray around.
Reference photo used, though obvs not well.

I even included his lump though. ^^ It's nothing serious, just a lump of fat on his shoulder which is harmless, and rather than putting him through an expensive and risky surgury for it to be removed... we just pick on him for it.
